Bring Your Own Building

Dear Architects, Designers and Planners,

We invite you to bring a physical built model of a project from your firm as a response to Hong Kong and China’s built environment. Whether it is an old project which reflected the urbanistic and contextual requirements of the time period, an ongoing design development proposed for the future or an unbuilt work. We welcome all creative contributions as statements of our built environment- past, present and future.

Requirements:

- Your firm must be a registered member of The Hong Kong Institute of Architects, Hong Kong Institute of Planners or Hong Kong Designers Association.

- The model must fit within 594mm (width) x 420mm (depth) base plate equivalent to an A2 size.

- Each firm is limited to ONE submission only.

Please register by submitting your project title, location of the building, scale of the model and company name to info@hkszbiennale.org before 12th February, 2010. The details of the label for display purposes will be sent upon receipt of the registration.

Models are welcome on site starting from 23rd February, 2010, and will be on display until the closing of the Biennale on 27th February, 2010. The final models will be displayed and placed in a grid format- and will form the basis of the BYOBiennale final forums dealing with participation. We are counting on your contribution.
